Healthy little smiles start here!

At Midland Smile Solutions, we believe that building healthy dental habits starts at a young age! Our friendly and caring dental team is dedicated to making your child’s dental visits a positive, comfortable, and fun experience.

We understand that visiting the dentist can sometimes feel a little scary for children. That’s why we take a gentle, patient approach, helping your little ones feel relaxed and confident while learning the importance of taking care of their teeth.

When should my child first visit the dentist?

By the age of 2–3 years old, children should already be getting comfortable with regular dental visits.

We welcome young children and encourage parents to introduce dental care early. These visits allow us to monitor your child’s developing teeth, answer questions, and help prevent dental problems before they begin.

Why is children’s dental care important?

Regular dental visits help keep your child’s teeth and gums healthy as they grow. Baby teeth play an important role in chewing, speaking, and making room for permanent teeth.

Our children’s dental services focus on:

  • Regular checkups: Monitoring your child’s growing smile and identifying potential concerns early.
  • Gentle cleanings: Helping keep little teeth clean and healthy.
  • Cavity prevention: Offering fluoride treatments and dental sealants when recommended to help protect teeth.
  • Healthy habits: Teaching children how to brush, floss, and care for their smiles at home.
  • Monitoring growth: Watching how your child’s teeth and jaws develop as they grow.

What if my child needs specialized dental care?

Every child is different, and sometimes additional care is needed.

If your child requires more complex treatment or specialized care, we may recommend a referral to a paediatric dentist to ensure they receive the treatment best suited to their needs.

At Midland Smile Solutions, your child’s comfort, safety, and oral health are always our priorities. Our goal is to help children develop healthy smiles and positive dental habits that last a lifetime.

Whether it’s your child’s first visit with us or a routine checkup, we’re here to make every experience as comfortable and welcoming as possible. We bill your insurance or the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) directly.

When should my child first see a dentist?

The Canadian Dental Association recommends a first visit within six months of the first tooth, or by age one. Early visits help children get used to the dental office.

Do you have a pediatric dentist?

Our general dentist treats patients of all ages, including children. We do not have a pediatric specialist at our clinic.

Can several family members come on the same day?

Yes. We can book several family members on the same day, one after another. Call us to arrange it.

Does CDCP cover children?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan covers eligible children. Eligibility is set by the Government of Canada. We bill the plan directly.

Do you bill insurance for kids' visits?

Yes. We bill your insurance directly, so you pay the part your plan or the CDCP does not cover.
